Starting from the vibrant city of Kathmandu, the journey takes you to Pokhara, a picturesque lakeside town. Riding alongside the Kali Gandaki River, you'll traverse the world’s deepest gorge, experience the historic salt trading route between Nepal and Tibet, and visit the sacred Muktinath Temple. About Upper Mustang Permits
Traveling to the Upper Mustang area requires a special permit, costing $500 for 10 days, with an additional $50 per day after that. The permits are valid for 10 days starting and ending in Kagbeni. The restricted area permit can only be obtained if two or more people are traveling together. If you are a solo traveler, we can arrange for you to join other travelers to obtain the permit. Additionally, an Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permit is required. Please provide your original passport copy for permit processing.
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s international airport, you will be greeted by our team and transported to your hotel. After settling in, you will be briefed about the upcoming adventure. This day allows you to acclimate to the new environment and prepare for the thrilling journey ahead.
This day is dedicated to preparing for the trip. We will sort out the motorcycles and ensure all necessary preparations are completed. You can also take this opportunity for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing around Kathmandu. Remember to provide your original passport for obtaining the Upper Mustang permit.
The journey begins with a scenic ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara, following the Trishuli River along the Prithvi Highway. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can explore the lakeside area, enjoy the vibrant nightlife, and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Your adventure kicks off with a ride to Sarangkot Hill, offering breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre. Continue to Beni via smooth paved roads, followed by a thrilling off-road journey along the Kali Gandaki River to Kalopani. Along the way, explore the Rupche Waterfall and enjoy the changing landscapes.
After breakfast, ride to the Marpha Village, known for its apple orchards and local farming. Continue to Muktinath Temple via Jomsom, enjoying the spectacular views of Nilgiri Mountain. At Muktinath, visit the revered temple and explore the Jal Devi Temple, where a natural gas-fueled fire burns perpetually. Conclude the day with a ride to Kagbeni, exploring the ancient Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Jharkot along the way.
Begin your day with breakfast at Kagbeni, followed by a permit check. Ride through the picturesque villages and high passes, including Chuksang, Chella, Samar, Syangboche, Bhina, Ghiling, Ghami, and Tsrang, to reach Lo-Manthang. Enjoy stops along the way to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes and capture unforgettable moments.
Explore Lo-Manthang and its surroundings, visiting important monasteries such as Thupchen Monastery, Chode Gompa, and Jampa Monastery. After lunch, ride to Chhosar to visit the ancient SHIJA JHONG cave, used for meditation and living for over 3,000 years. Explore the cliff monastery and return to Lo-Manthang for an overnight stay.
Ride back to Jomsom, passing through local villages and following the Kali Gandaki River. Encounter ancient Buddhist stupas and monasteries along the way. If time permits, continue to Kalopani for an overnight stay.
Continue your journey back to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic ride through the diverse landscapes. Upon arrival, you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of the past days.
After breakfast, ride along the Prithvi Highway back to Kathmandu. This final leg of your journey offers a mix of reflection and anticipation as you head towards the capital, concluding your epic adventure.
